Shelley is an Adjunct Professor at the University of British Columbia School of Architecture and Landscape Architecture. Her interests lie in landscape architecture’s role in defining the anthropocene, and hybrid models of research and practice.

Shelley holds a Bachelor of Environmental Design from the University of British Columbia, and a Masters of Landscape Architecture from the University of Toronto. Originally from Calgary, her cross Canadian travels have heavily influenced her current body of research on highways and National Parks, and their production of collective memory, national identity, and the idea of wilderness.
